Use soft daylight and a clean lens
Turn off beauty filters and heavy editing. Place the watch near indirect window light, steady the camera and tap to focus on the surface being documented.
Capture the required eight views
Photograph the dial straight on, caseback, left profile, right profile and crown, each lug pair, bracelet and clasp, plus all accessories and service documents.
Show wear instead of hiding it
Angle polished surfaces until scratches, dents and softened edges become visible. A valuation improves when condition uncertainty falls, not when the watch looks artificially perfect.
Protect sensitive information
Cover the full serial number except the final four characters. Remove location metadata when possible and never include government identification, banking information or passwords.
Keep files original and organized
Use full-resolution JPG, PNG or WebP files with simple names. Preserve the unedited originals so a reviewer can distinguish camera processing from the watch itself.
