02 / HOW THE PILOT WORKS
01DEFINE THE WATCH

Send the reference or open brief, capital ceiling, condition standard and timing.

02REVIEW THE FIT

We compare the mandate with reference research, market context and partner relevance.

03ASK BEFORE SHARING

No partner receives your contact or mandate unless you explicitly authorize an introduction.

04YOU DECIDE

Inspection, authentication, final terms and the purchase remain separate decisions under your control.

03 / PRIVATE BUYER MANDATE

Make the demand
specific enough to act on.

Submitting is free and creates no purchase obligation. The founding pilot is manually reviewed, so a request may be declined when the fit, evidence or partner coverage is not strong enough.

COMMERCIAL BOUNDARY

A qualified partner may compensate The Watch Ledger for an introduction. The paid Review Desk remains independent, and no partner can buy a recommendation, ranking or favourable verdict.

No payment is collected. The Watch Ledger does not authenticate watches, hold funds, provide escrow, guarantee availability or promise a transaction. Privacy.
SOURCING QUESTIONS

Before the
first introduction.

Does a sourcing request commit me to buying?+

No. The mandate records what you want and lets The Watch Ledger review fit. Availability, price, inspection, authentication and transaction terms must be agreed separately before any purchase.

How does The Watch Ledger get paid?+

A commercial partner may compensate The Watch Ledger for a qualified introduction. Any introduction requires your consent, and compensation cannot change an editorial verdict or paid review.

Does The Watch Ledger authenticate or hold payment?+

No. The Watch Ledger does not authenticate watches, hold funds, provide escrow or guarantee a seller. Physical inspection, provenance review and secure transaction arrangements remain essential.

Can I request a watch outside the current reference catalog?+

Yes. Submit the exact brand, model, reference or open brief. The launch catalog helps prefill known watches but does not limit the mandate.
