WATCH TRADE-IN CALCULATOR / CAD
Price both watches.
Then price the route.
Model what leaves, what arrives and how much cash the transition actually needs. Keep the outgoing allowance, incoming price and transaction friction separate.
Dealer trade credit · The cash gap is directional. Compare written route terms, tax treatment, condition, service and transaction quality before committing either watch.
A generous allowance can hide an expensive incoming watch. A disciplined incoming price can compensate for a lower but cleaner exit. Keep both numbers visible.
Time, shipping, insurance, preparation, payment risk and transaction certainty change the real route even when the headline percentage looks similar.
The Watch Ledger can review qualified trade intent. Contact and watch details are only shared when the owner explicitly requests one relevant partner introduction.
A clean gap is useful.
Evidence closes the trade.
Check the outgoing range, inspect the incoming reference and choose the next action that matches your timing.
Qualify both watches
before one introduction.
Submit the modeled pair, location and timing for manual review. No public listing, no purchase obligation and no partner handoff without your explicit consent.
A vetted partner may compensate The Watch Ledger for a qualified introduction. Compensation cannot change editorial ranges, paid-review conclusions or the calculator result.
Before the
difference wins.
How does the watch trade-in calculator work?+
Choose the outgoing watch, expected market value, exit route and incoming watch. The model subtracts route-specific friction from the outgoing value, adds tax, acquisition and service assumptions to the incoming price, then shows the directional cash gap.
Is the outgoing net a dealer offer?+
No. Dealer, trade, consignment and private-sale assumptions are editable planning inputs. The result is not an appraisal, purchase offer, guaranteed trade credit or quoted commercial term.
Why can a trade credit differ from a cash offer?+
A trade can change dealer margin, transaction timing and the economics of the incoming watch. Judge the outgoing allowance and incoming price separately rather than focusing only on the difference.
Does the calculator handle sales tax?+
It lets you enter an estimated percentage but does not determine tax treatment. Trade-in tax rules vary by jurisdiction, transaction structure and personal circumstances, so confirm them independently.
What happens after I submit a private trade brief?+
The Watch Ledger reviews both references, the modeled route, location and timing. No partner receives your contact or watch details unless you explicitly request a relevant introduction.
